One of our Community Health Workers represented Compassion Health Toledo at Anthem’s Community Health Fair and Community Care & Diaper Day initiative, connecting with families, sharing resources, and supporting access to essential items and health information.

National Minority Health Month Kick-Off Event
A Community Health Worker from Compassion Health Toledo participated in the National Minority Health Month Kick-Off, engaging families around lead safety and healthy living while providing education and community resources.


​Safe Sleep Partnership with Northwest Ohio Pathways HUB
We are grateful for our partnership with the Northwest Ohio Pathways HUB and fellow community organizations as we work together to support families in our community. Our Community Health Workers play a key role in connecting families to safe sleep education and essential resources, helping ensure babies have a safe and healthy start. It is meaningful to be part of a shared effort that surrounds families with care, support, and practical tools when they need them most.

Celebrating Students and Families in the Old South End 
​CHT was glad to be part of the Back-to-School Community Event at the Believe Center on August 15. This annual gathering brought together community partners, schools, and organizations to support South End families with resources, backpacks, and encouragement as students prepare for a new school year. Compassion Health Toledo shared health resources and connected families with services to support them throughout the year.

It's been a whirlwind of connection, collaboration, and community pride. Our Compassion Health Toledo team has been on the move, setting up our vendor table, hosting events, and joining forces with partners to make a positive impact across the city.

Community Mental Health Fair – Hosted at Indiana Ave Missionary Baptist Church, this event brought together organizations committed to supporting mental wellness for all.

Here’s a look at where we’ve been lately:

Beautification at Broadway – Partnering with Washington Church at 1638 Broadway to help brighten and uplift the surrounding community.

Neighborhood Beautification at Dorr Street – Coming together with volunteers to enhance and beautify the neighborhood around our 1055 Dorr Street location.

Lucas County Active Community Team Meeting – Collaborating with partners to strengthen the system of care for infants, toddlers, and their families.

Community Resource Fair – Offering free resources, clothing, and connections alongside many dedicated organizations.

Divine Woman: Health and Well Being Health Fair – Connecting with women and families at the SQACC Events Center, offering resources like mammogram screenings, prescription delivery sign-ups, free clothing, hygiene kits, dental education, biometric screenings, and more!

Compassion Health Toledo recently attended the
​"Going Home to Stay" event, a reentry resource program that supports returning citizens, their family members, and significant others. 

The event took place at the beautiful Glass Pavilion of the Toledo Art Museum. Compassion Health Toledo is proud to be part of such meaningful community events, providing support and resources for individuals reentering society.
